COOPERATION WITH CLIMATE PROTECTION EXPERTS
To reduce our CO₂ footprint in the long term, we need measurable data that show us where we currently stand.
Since 2021, we have therefore had our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) calculated by ClimatePartner. With ClimatePartner, we have a professional climate protection expert at our side who works according to international guidelines when calculating the CCF. The methodology follows the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and is closely aligned with ISO / PAS standards. This way, we can be sure to have a trustworthy partner who provides us with reliable results and advises us comprehensively as well as competently.
In 2022, our Corporate Carbon Footprint grew from 660.41 to 702.57 t CO₂e compared to the previous year. However, our company has also grown and so - despite the absolute increase - we were able to reduce the footprint per employee: from 5.41 to 5.28 t CO₂e per employee.
Because reducing emissions and achieving climate neutrality is an ongoing process and is calculated annually, we are intensively addressing the question of how we can further reduce and optimize our CCF in the future. To this end, we have set up a task force that is constantly developing new ideas and approaches to solutions.
